2019 IEEE General Meeting Panel Presentation: Paths to Success in Academic Careers in Power & Energy

The panel will address opportunities and challenges that are part of academic careers in our field of power & energy engineering. Discussion will include suggestions on how to obtain an academic/faculty position, how to successfully secure research funding, how to mentor students, and how to navigate professional societies such as IEEE PES. Panelists will share their experiences, providing a vision for a multitude of paths leading to career success. The target audience is composed of junior faculty, post-doctoral scholars, graduate students, and anyone considering pursuing an academic career.
