Power-electronic-based resources and transmission systems are increasingly deployed in modern power grids, e.g. wind/solar power plants, high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) and flexible alternating current transmission systems (FACTS). The dynamic interactions among the converter-based resources and transmission systems pose new challenges to the stability and reliability of power grids. This panel session intends to address the analytical approaches to converter interactions in transmission grids. The researchers and engineers from both power system and power electronic fields will share their perspectives on the latest progress, challenges, as well as industry practices, in the dynamic analysis of converter-based transmission grids
