Canadian electric utilities and industry have been for decades at the forefront of important developments in the power industry. The setting up of testing facilities for power system research and development by utilities enabled many of these developments. In this panel, we will highlight the recent additions and innovations in power and energy system testing in Canada. These cover facilities and tools for generation, transmission, distribution and end use system design and testing.
