This panel disseminates the most recent and innovative intelligent solutions for data processing, including the prediction of energy demand profiles to explore the potential of utilizing energy management tools; and the consumption data management, addressing the data acquisition, storage, and permissions to access it. The panel addresses the characterization of consumers from the point of view of the connection point with the building/network and the existing demand response and transaction opportunities. Consumer profiling is addressed having as basis measured consumption data and knowledge regarding consumers’ energy usage. The consumer profiling based on time-series data on occupants’ presence and occupants’ characteristics/preferences is a core topic of the panel discussion. Special focus is given to consumer profiling using a contextual approach and in reaction to external conditions, e.g. prices, demand response events, and emergency situations.
