Panel Session 06 Aug 2020

With the increasing integration of distributed energy resources, load characteristics become highly stochastic, thus posing a great challenge for power distribution systems monitoring and control. As one of the fundamental functions in the distribution management system, distribution system state estimation (DSSE) is able to provide reliable and accurate data and model for DMS applications. However, there are issues that we need to tackle, such as the presence of heterogeneous data, uncertain or even unknown system topology and parameters. This panel aims to propose some solutions to the joint distribution state and parameter estimation. Practical experiences on DSSE implementations will be shared.
