COVID-19 has had a profound impact on society, but also on the operation of the power system. In this panel session we discuss the impact on HVDC systems/technology. Two aspects are covered: the differences in operational practices during the pandemic and new technology options which might get an accelerated breakthrough because of the covid-19 pandemic (e.g. remote maintenance procedures).
