Within the Mid-Atlantic region, the COVID-19 pandemic has had significant impacts on the electric power sector from power consumption, to innovation budgets, grid planning, and overall resiliency. This panel will explore the near and long-term effects of the pandemic in the Nation™s capital and within the region and the path forward from a policy and technical perspective. Panelists will also discuss whether the pandemic has had any impact on local and state clean energy goals, and how their respective companies or agencies are moving toward those targets, as well as any barriers to implementing those policies. Finally, panelists will discuss federal, state and local dynamics, and how changing grid operator policies have impacted their work along with updates from what the ˜Utility of the Future™ will look like.
