Discrepancies between simulations and records of major real events have been reported in various power systems. One of the reasons is the simplified representation or even no representation of the protecting relay functions in the planning tools. Therefore, the need of enhancing the models of protective relays in simulation tools is a worth continuing effort. This panel builds upon a related panel presented at GM'21, where the focus was on the integration of relay models with either positive-sequence and three-phase RMS tools. This panel will give the stability perspective in integrating relays in dynamic simulation tools. It is worth mentioning that a companion panel focusing on the protection perspective of this integration will also be presented in this GM
