Concept of resiliency needs to be integrated into distribution grid planning and operation for minimizing the impact of extreme events on the grid services. Metrics are necessary to select best possible planning or operational decision among multiple options, specially with distributed energy resources (DERs). At the same time, metrics and integration into practice needs to be practical considering all the planning and operational constraints. This panel will focus on the mathematical and data-driven solutions for existing resilience practice in distribution grid operators, measuring resilience and enabling resiliency during extreme adverse events. Panel will also discuss state-of-the-art and future needs for resiliency tool for the DER-rich distribution grid. Presentations in this panel session: - Resilience and Reliability tradeoff in planning and operation practices (23PESGM3863) - How FPL is building a more resilient grid (23PESGM3865) - Measuring the Effectiveness of Utility Resilience Programs (23PESGM3866) - Adaptive Resilience Metrics Framework for Distribution System (23PESGM3867)
