The concept of “Energy Internet (EI)” has emerged since 2015 and has attracted considerable attentions from both academia and industry. While significant R&D efforts have been devoted in the past, there is not an universal definition about the EI in the community, which hinders its further R&D, standardization, and practical implementation. This panel aims to provide technical insights into the definitions, challenges, and enabling techniques for Energy Internet paradigm. The invited panellists are knowledgeable and experienced researchers in power and energy system’s modelling, simulation, communication, control, and data-analytics, who will share their viewpoints and research outcomes in relevant areas.
