Proactive Distribution Planning for Reliability and Resilience

As our societal dependence on electricity increases, the task of distribution system planning is growing increasingly complex due to increased uncertainty and an expansion in the objectives and use cases. At the core, planning processes must consider reliability and resilience to ensure that distribution systems can continue to serve as the backbone of our society. This panel will present a diverse cross-section of current practices to support proactive distribution system planning. Panelists will present their experience with the design and implementation of metrics, tools, processes and approaches and insight into the path forward.
