Panel 12 Sep 2024

Substations are critical components of the overall power grid. Therefore, grid resilience is a growing industry focus to counter more frequent extreme weather events and ever-rising man-made physical threats. This panel will present and discuss how to assess and enhance physical, civil, and structural resilience in the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of electrical substations and equipment. The important topics included such as the prevention, recovery, and survivability of the electrical substation in the face of extreme environmental and man-made hazards. The proposed panelists will include experts from utilities, consultants, and vendors.
