Prof Kumar explained the need for developing a multi-level inverter scheme and its control scheme, discussing the hexagonal volage space vector structure. He further focused on the functionalities multi-level inverter (MLI) for Open End Induction Motor Drive (OEIM) and its fault tolerant scheme. This fault tolerant scheme is based on a 5-level power circuit and capacitor balancing of a H-bridge network. The various studies related to transient and steady state were also discussed for the circuit.
