Abstract: This webinar intends to share the experience on the control and stability analysis of power system with high penetration of renewable energies in China. The webinar will start with the introduction of up-to-date wide-band oscillation events in China. Subsequently, the impedance-network-based modeling and analysis methods, which are widely used in Chinese industry, will be leveraged to analyze the underlying mechanisms and root causes of these real-world oscillation events caused by converter/grid interactions. Then, methodologies for mitigating these oscillations in some real-world projects will be introduced, based on which, industrial practices for addressing these oscillation problems will be summarized in the end.
