Abstract: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones) will soon supplement traditional ambulances for emergency medical services. However, drones can only fly for about 20-25 minutes at a stretch, due to limited battery charge. Stemming from a design-oriented methodology, the objective of this webinar will be to introduce the design and implementation of next-generation drones to solve the problem of long-range emergency medicine delivery. The project involves complementary activities between researchers, trainers, practitioners, and industry partners from the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, health informatics, kinesiology, and physiological studies.
