AI for Wireless Communications: Channel Prediction Perspective

Although machine learning (ML) techniques have gained widespread application across various domains, their utlization in wireless communications is still in its early stages. In this talk, I will highlight several promising avenues for employing ML techniques in wireless communications. Additionally, I will delve into the application of ML techniques for predicting massive MIMO channels. Notably, two intriguing discoveries emerge: 1) data preprocessing using the knowledge of wireless channel can significantly enhance channel prediction performance, and 2) advanced ML techniques offer effective solutions to practical challenges that conventional linear filtering methods struggle to address.
