Awards On-Line Nomination Workshop

The Power & Energy Society (PES) is transitioning to an online nomination process for submission and processing of the PES Awards. PES Awards nomination for all Awards will have same start and end dates to nominate peers. The online submission starts in mid September 2017, for the class of 2018, and will be aligned closely with the IEEE process. As the online process opens opportunity for broader membership participation, some background on PES Awards will be covered. At this web based Workshop, attendees will have opportunity to learn about history and the types of Awards, Awards web site enhancements with latest information and critical dates, nomination process and demo for hands on step by step learning, saving an incomplete nomination, getting print out, or to listen to the presenters and participate in the Q & A. An overview of effective nomination will also be reviewed in brief. There will be ample opportunity to review timeline for nominating a colleague, ask some of the administrative questions related to the Awards nomination such as qualifications, references, endorsements, or to provide feedback as the instructors step through the new nomination form. On line nomination provides a much greater participation opportunity. Your feedback supports the process become more efficient to recognize membership and colleagues.
