Volume 10: Issue 3: Island Power Systems Piloting the Energy Transition

The theme of this issue is "Island Power Systems Piloting the Energy Transition." Island grids are testing grounds for many decarbonization technologies before they are employed in large-scale power grids, e.g., grid-forming inverter technology. Lessons learned from island grids' planning and operation are extremely valuable. The invited articles cover the planning and operation challenges of Hawaii, Tasmania, the Canary Islands, and Puerto Rico. This issue also includes two columns ("What's Popular" and "History") relevant to electrification technologies.
