Globally, governments and companies are investing in and developing technologies to reduce the environmental impact of transportation systems, thereby increasing concentration on fuel sources. A variety of alternative fuel technologies, i.e., batteries, fuel cells, synthetic fuels, and biofuels, is being used or researched as alternatives to fossil fuel-based transportation. In this special issue, we discuss hydrogen fuel cells for transportation.
