Abstract:Wireless Power Transfer for Electric Vehicles (WPT-EV) is a key enabling technology for broader electric vehicle (EV) adoption and the imperative link to autonomy in a greener world. Regulators and Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) around the world are striving to understand its potential impact to radiocommunications and human exposure. There are a wide range of myths and technical misunderstandings being propagated regarding the true realities and potential impacts of WPT-EV and how it should be assessed - including metrology of measurement and determine appropriate limitations. This presentation provides a global overview of existing and on-going discussions and the real-world facts to overcome the myths of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Field (EMF) exposure for WPT-EV.
